Chapstick Gift Box

My daughter likes to give little gifts to friends all throughout the year and with Christmas right around the corner, I thought of her gifts of Chapstick. This little box will be cute to put a regular size Chapstick.

Take a 5" x 5" piece of card stock and score it at 1" and 4". Turn and score at 1", 2", 3", and 4". (Sorry, I couldn't get a good photo of all the score lines.)

Snip from the edge of the cardstock to the 1" mark on both sides. You should have 5 tabs on each side when done.

Put snail adhesive on tabs 2, 3, and 5 on one side (hopefully you can see the adhesive on the bottom tabs). Turn the piece around and place snail on 1, 3, and 4 - making sure they match the tabs from the other side.

With the card stock facing you as pictured above, put tab 2 behind tab 1 then place tab 3 and tab 5 behind tab 4. Repeat on the other side matching the same tabs so the end result looks like this ...

Put a notch in the lid of the box so that when the lid is closed it looks like this ... I used the circle from the Punch Pack (118309) from Stampin' Up!

Here is the finished product ...

Now to get busy making a few more of these in time for gift giving!
