What Happened?

It appears some of my pictures have gone AWOL! Yikes!

If you scroll through my blog and find something missing, never fear! I am working very hard to get the pictures back up!

I made some changes and did not realize the changes would do away with my pictures.

Please be patient ... I am working from the present backwards so my much older posts will not have pictures for a little while.

Thanks for checking out my blog! I hope to have it back to 100% shortly.

Have a great day! :)

Sweet Treat for You

This box was made after watching the video by Angela on her blog Stamping with Amore

The stamp set used is Hey, Valentine. Blendabilities markers were used to color in the stamped image. (both items from Stampin' Up!)

The bow was made with the Envelope Punch Board (1" x 7 1/8" - punch at 1 1/2", 3 1/2" then flip and do 1 1/2" from other end - repeat on other side - punch ends of paper to give it the ribbon look).

Hope you have a great day!

Divided Treat Box

While scanning through the many crafting blogs which I follow, I came across this box made by Brenda. I thought the box was cute and that I would save it for Easter treats, but decided to make some for a couple of friends who have birthdays in February.

I only had Valentine colored Hershey Kisses, but they still look pretty cute. I have only placed a tag on one of them so far.

Hope you have a great day!

You Crack Me Up

As you can see from most of my posts, what I make comes from other's creativity. Yesterday, I picked up some Reese Peanut Butter Eggs. After putting the groceries away, I picked up the eggs and headed to the craft room. I decided to take all that I learned and try my hand at making a box for the eggs.

Once I started, the box just fell together. I was excited and very happy with the result!

Here's the finished box ...

For those who have asked for directions, here they are ...

CS 4 1/2" X 11"

Score on the long side at 1", 5", 6", and 10"

Score on the short side at 1" and 3 1/2"

Cut up to the score line on each long side and trim the tabs at an angle.

Use a circle or oval punch to punch a thumb grab.

Turn the CS over and place sticky strip or fast fuse on each tab.

Adhere four tabs to the long sides without the punched end to create the box. Adhere two tabs to the long side with punched end to create the lid.

Adhere DSP 2 1/4" X 3 3/4" to the front and decorate as desired.

The stamped image was cut out with the Deco Label framelits and I trimmed to top and bottom to be straight.

I used dimensionals on the four corners of my stamped image and ran the ribbon underneath the stamped image and around the back - the reason it's not straight on the left side. :/

Hope you have a great day!

Valentine's Piggy

A friend of mine sent me a link on FB for this made out of a toilet paper roll. Unfortunately, it was trash pick up day and all of my rolls were in the icky trash can so I improvised and made this one.

Hope you like him! Have a great day!

Baskets

I made these baskets following this YouTube video. I was thinking of Easter when I made these, but wouldn't they be cute in red, white, and black for Valentine's Day???

I hope you have a great day!

Bookmark with Perfectly Preserved

I was asked to make bookmarks for an upcoming Ladies Breakfast. The theme is the fruits of the spirit. I came up with all kinds of ideas, but I kept coming back to actual fruit. I went to my stamp sets and came across Perfectly Preserved from several years ago.

Here is what I did ... (products mentioned by name with capital letters are from Stampin' Up!)

I typed the Bible verse into Word and spaced the verse four times across lengthwise on the screen and printed onto white cardstock.

I cut the cardstock into 6" x 2" pieces and punched one end with the Scallop Tag Punch.

I stamped the pear directly onto the cardstock with Garden Green and Hello Honey.

I stamped the jar onto a transparency and then embossed it with clear powder so the lines would show up better. I layered the jar on top of the pear using Fast Fuse.

I stamped the lid with Cherry Cobbler ink and used the Framelit that matched the stamp set to cut it out. I tied some linen thread around the lid in a knot. I attached the lid to the top of the jar using Fast Fuse.

I cut 6" of red ribbon and looped it through the hole.  I secured the loop with a mini glue dot.

The breakfast is coming up so I do not have any reactions to the bookmark yet.

Hope you have a great day!

Happy Birthday Bird Punch Art Card

I made this card for my sweet DIL for her birthday. Her birthday is today - I hope her card made it in time.

I took a picture of the punches used so I would remember how to make it again! I also used the Window Framelits from Stampin' Up.

Hope you have a great day! :)

Card box with Chocolates

This box was made with the intent of putting Hershey Nuggets in the center. I used Andes mints to show it could hold other chocolates as well.

The cover is made out of a piece of transparency.

Hope you have a great day!

Football Card

I made this card for my daughter's friend for his birthday. He is a huge football fan!
