Fancy Faceted Box

The original box was created by Sam. The box above is the one I made from her lovely directions. It takes a 12" x 12" piece of cardstock to make this in the U.S. - Sam used an A4 piece of cardstock in the U.K.

One of the members of the Pootles FB group (Nancy) edited the dimensions so we Americans can make one from an 8 1/2" x 11" piece of cardstock.

Sam's version is on the left while Nancy's version is on the right.

If you would like to make one, please go here for the YouTube video.

Have a great day!

House of drawers

I came across this house on one of the groups to which I belong. There were no directions, only the name of the magazine it appeared in. After much searching, I found the article only to discover the directions were in centimeters!

Centimeters were not going to get the best of me so I converted them into inches and plugged along. This is my prototype...

The drawers are a little smaller than the space they go into, but overall, I'm pleased with how this turned out!

Have a great day!

Hey, Valentine Bags

I made these two bags for my husband and daughter for Valentine's Day. I filled the bags with snack size Hershey bars, Kit Kats, Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, and Hershey Kisses.

If you would like to make one of these bags, go HERE to follow Sam's tutorial.

Hope you have a wonderful Valentine's Day!

Little Sweet Treat

Elaine at papercraftbutton.blogspot.com shared directions on how to make this little sweet treat box

My little box holds three Hershey Kisses, but it would hold up to five.

Hope you have a great day!

Valentine's Box

I was watching YouTube videos on how to make a heart box and decided to try my hand at making one.

This is what I did ...

I used Stampin' Up!'s Heart framelits - the large scallop heart and the largest heart. I cut two of each.

For the top, I cut two strips 1 1/2" X 11". I scored at 1 1/8" and punched the short edge with this punch ...

I then wrapped the strips around the edge of the straight-edged heart, trimming to fit one side of the heart and then overlapping the other strip to fit the other side of the heart.

For the bottom, I trimmed the remaining straight-edge heart down by 1/8". I cut two strips 1" X 11". I scored the short edge at 5/8" and punched the short edge with the same punch. I adhered the strips like I did for the top.

I adhered each heart to a scallop circle and fit the box together.

I decorated the top and filled it with Hershey Nuggets for my sweet daughter.

Hope you have a great day!

Valentine's Nugget Holder

I pulled the idea for this from Connie at SimplySimpleStamping.com.

It is made with a piece of CS measuring 3" X 7 1/2".

Score on the long side at 1 3/8", 1 7/8", 3 1/4", and 3 3/4".

Once you fold on the score lines you will see how the nugget holder comes together.

Place adhesive on the end of the CS and adhere the box end to the last score line.

This holds three Hershey nuggets or a snack size Hershey or Kit Kat bar.

Hope you have a great day!

Love Bandit

After seeing this picture on Pinterest, I made this little guy.

I believe the original head is made from the ornament punch, but I do not have it so I had to make my own.

Here is the picture I took of the punches I used and some notes for me to remember just how he was made.

Have a great day!
