Special Gift - Part Two

I posted the gift given to me on my blog yesterday.  Today I am revealing what it is.  Did you guess correctly?  It is a pocket size tissue holder!

This is "sew" easy to make!

Instructions:

Cut 1 piece of fabric 3 1/2" x 5 1/2" for the back
Cut 2 pieces of the same fabric 3 1/2" x 4" for the short ends
Cut 2 pieces of contrasting fabric 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" for the long ends

Fold the pieces for the short and long ends in half with right sides facing out.

Lay the pieces as pictured below...

Sew a 1/4" seam around the entire rectangle. Clip the corners, turn inside out, and press.

I was pretty impressed with my first attempt! I had to adjust the measurements to make the flap close - should have adjusted for this before sewing ... Oh well!

Here is my second attempt and finished off with a yo-yo. This is my first attempt at a yo-yo - I thought it was a pretty good one for my first one! As you can see, I did not lay the fabric pieces the same as the first one - I didn't notice this until I was sewing on the yo-yo.

Have a great day!
