Just a few things I made

I haven't been crafting like I did before Christmas. Here are a few things I have made lately...

A covered notepad ...

A sympathy card ...

A bookmark for my daughter ...

A valentine for my husband ...

Have a great Wednesday!

Mojo Monday

I cannot believe it is December already, but glad it is Monday and everyone is back in the regular routine after the holiday!

Here is the sketch for Mojo Monday.

Here is the card I created - it's for a (new) friend of mine who I think needs a little pick me up ... I hope this works!

I hope everyone is having a great Monday!

We Blend Well

I made this love note for my husband. I placed it in his sock drawer - one place I know he will look in! I love leaving him notes he will find when he least expects it.

I wrote my note to him on the back.

Hope he likes it!

Love Notes

My family leaves little notes for each other. My husband has been leaving my daughter and me notes on our desks, craft table, or school notebooks on whatever piece of paper is handy. I leave notes for them on the napkins I place in their lunch boxes.

I sat down to create this little love note container and note cards. This was my prototype so there are creases in the paper where there should not be so I made another one with the instructions below.

Start with a piece of card stock that is 4 7/8" x 8". Score on the short side at 1", 1 3/8", 3 1/2", and 3 7/8". Score on the long side at 3", 3 3/8", 6 1/2", and 6 7/8".

Cut out the four boxes/rectangles on each end on the top and bottom.

Use a corner rounder and round the corners. Use your bone folder and crease the score lines.

Cut a piece of DSP to be 1 3/4" x 2 1/2" and round the corners at one of the short ends.

Attach to the front of the box - which will be the long end of the card stock.

Decorate the front as much or as little as you like. Mine is pretty simple this time.

I used the Small Heart Punch (SU 117193) and a silver brad to create the closure for the box.

For the cards, I took 2 pieces of card stock and cut them into 2" x 3" rectangles. I then stamped different images/phrases on them. I used Chestnut Roan chalk on the edges of the cards. Here are examples of what I did...

I hope you like it ... I am off to add some color to the note cards before I need them for lunch boxes tomorrow!

Love You Much

Another card with my DIL in mind.

Card is pink CS 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" folded in half

White CS is 4" x 5 1/4"

Pink stripe is 1 1/2" x 5 1/4"

Green stripe is 1" x 5 1/4" ... I ran this through the Big Shot (SU 113439) with a flower embossing folder.

I stamped the saying from Best of Love (SU 132987) and punched it out with the Decorative Label punch (SU 120907). I used my paper piercing tool (SU 126189) and the template out of the Essentials pack (SU 126187) for the oval around the saying.

I chalked around the edges of the white CS with Chestnut Roan cats eye chalk.

Simple Cards

I am still in the mode of making cards for my DIL Ashley. I did not want to make them to busy, just something simple to let her know I was thinking of her.

Here are two cards I made this morning.  Items noted with a number or notation in ( ) are from Stampin' Up.  The rest of the supplies I had on hand.

The stamp set used for the saying is called Best of Love (132987).  The card is 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" folded in half. I wrapped the red ribbon (approximately 18") around the card twice and taped it to the inside of the card at both ends. I used my Scallop Oval punch (119856) to punch out the saying. I affixed the saying to the card with Snail Adhesive (104332).

This card uses two stamp sets. The first is Perfectly Preserved (no longer available, but available as a download). I stamped the jar on white CS and a transparency which I embossed with black powder. I stamped the lid for the jar on CS. The jar and the lid were cut out using the framelits that match the stamp set.

The second stamp set is Make a Cake (126742). I used the small heart to stamp the many hearts inside the jar stamped on white CS. I glued the transparency on top of the CS and then attached the lid with Stampin Dimensionals (104430).

Once I get ready to write a note inside, I will cut a piece of copy paper to fit so she will be able to read what I write.

Have a great day!
